What you’ll be doing:

As a Buyer at our Stockholm Office, you will be overall responsible for optimizing purchasing with respect to service, price, and inventory levels as well as needed time to market.

This role plays a key part in aligning purchasing activities with company goals, while continuously improving ways of working, processes and system support.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall responsible for purchasing accuracy -ensuring optimal quantities are ordered per delivery destination, based on sales performance, forecasts, inventory, cash flow, costs and lead times.
• Contribute to capacity assurance, article-based forecasts and yearly supplier planning with the Buying team.
• Place purchase orders for selected product groups and follow up throughout production to ensure delivery accuracy.
• Manage negotiations and take actions in case of delays or production issues.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and Planning on stock levels and planned purchases.
• React and support on in-season or new business opportunities.
• Analyze macro economic factors and conduct price negotiations in line with set targets.
• Provide accurate master data information for set-up of items in the ERP.
• Handle purchase invoices and delivery connected claims.
• Deliver monthly reports to the Head of Supply and Finance, detailing for example purchase volumes and costs.
• Manage good relationships with suppliers throughout the production process, setting requirements and following up on performance on a regular basis.
• Partner closely with Finance, Planning, Design, Product Development and Logistics, in order to identify short- and long-term needs the Buying team should fulfill.

Specific experience and knowledge for this role: 

• Academic degree from textile and/ or business education
• Minimum of 4 years' professional experience in a similar role
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Fluent in English
