Head of Creative

As Head of Creative you will be the visionary force behind all creative marketing aspects of the brand, from sales team materials to seasonal marketing campaigns and everything in between. You are the Happy Socks creative custodian when it comes to our visual brand DNA and will be a key voice in keeping our brand fresh, innovative, and ahead of the curve. You’ll guide our creative team, consisting of design, copy, and video, working collaboratively to set the creative vision for each season and ensure that Happy Socks products stand out.
This is a role for a conceptual thinker and practical hands-on doer, you will need to balance creativity with commercial impact, ensuring that we remain the original disruptor in the sock industry while growing into new product categories in the future.
Responsibilities:
Creative Vision & Brand Direction:
- Lead the overall creative direction of the brand, ensuring consistency and innovation across all channels for campaigns and in-store experiences.
- Develop and execute bold, trend-setting creative concepts that push boundaries and reflect our identity as the original disruptor sock brand.
- Set the overarching creative direction and seasonal themes for marketing, ensuring ideas are not only innovative but also commercially viable. Work closely with the Head of Comms and Culture Marketing, Global Brand Manager and local market lead to deliver consistent plans for the season.
- Ensure that all creative outputs—whether product, packaging, or marketing—align with and enhance the brand’s identity.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Manage, inspire, and mentor a team of creatives, fostering an environment of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
- Ensure the Happy Socks creative team are at the bleeding edge of creative innovation, with the resources and inspiration they need to deliver great work.
- Act as a creative leader and decision-maker, guiding the team through the entire creative process—from brainstorming to final delivery of marketing collateral.
- Be a key stakeholder for the business when it comes to questions of how to tackle new creative challenges.
Innovation & Expansion:
- Drive creative innovation that keeps the brand at the forefront of the industry.
- Play a key role in the expansion into new product categories, ensuring that future branding fits to the business needs.
- Work closely with the Head of Design, Head of Comms and Culture Marketing, and Global Brand Manager to identify new areas for creative storytelling .
- Utilize customer insights and data to inform creative decisions and ensure marketing resonates with our audience.
