We are now looking for an analytical and driven Senior Business Controller who enjoys responsibility from day one and a broad range of questions; from solving day to day issues within the team to working strategically with the management.

Joining Happy Socks means being a part of a happy and extremely fast-moving multicultural company of around 150 people from 25 different countries 🌍. You’ll be a key member of our Finance department of 9 people, reporting directly to our CFO. The role is based in our office in Stockholm where the majority of the Finance team is based. You’ll also have a few colleagues in Germany and the US, which are our two biggest markets.

As a Business Controller you’ll conduct high qualitative business and financial analyses - both for commercial and strategic operations. You’ll work closely with parts of our executive team and have a lot of contact with various functions of the business. You need to have a good understanding of the company’s processes and what data the management group and owners (private equity company) need to determine business performance and set the strategic direction of Happy Socks.

Main responsibilities

• Monthly reporting (both actual data and forecasts)
• Cost and investment analysis, as well as other ad hoc analyses
• Being a business partner in strategic projects and expansion plans
• Continuously work on improving the finance related processes and tools to make sure relevance and efficiency is as high as possible
• Being part of the development of the KPI's and Business Intelligence within your area of expertise

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Economics (but preferably a master’s degree)
• 5+ years of experience from similar work, either as a Business Controller or from an accounting firm
• Fluency in English (any other language a plus)
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge within e-com and/or retail is a plus but not a requirement
