We are now looking for a Digital Marketing & Sales Director to join our eCommerce Department. You will be part of a happy and extremely driven multicultural company of approx. 180 people from 20 countries, and based at Happy Socks’ HQ in Stockholm.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading the global digital marketing strategy for Happy Socks, with a large focus on driving online sales growth, conversion optimization, and marketing and communication activities. You’ll report directly to the Head of eCommerce.

You will work closely with our group marketing function, driving innovation and execution of the online marketing and brand strategy. You will also lead a team responsible for the global planning, development, and execution of Happy Socks’ online marketing efforts across all paid, earned, and owned channels.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Define a fully integrated digital marketing strategy with the aim of maximizing revenue, profitability, and brand building initiatives for the e-commerce department 
  • Input on overall eCommerce strategy, targets, and budget 
  • Ensure optimal budget allocation per channel; follow-up and reforecast on a regular basis to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensure the budget is inline with business objectives while maximizing ROI of all direct marketing spend
  • Define and report on relevant KPIs to analyze, evaluate, and suggest improvements for online marketing spend, campaign performance, and ROI  
  • Overall management of the Digital Marketing & Sales team, including recruiting
  • Serve as an effective leader within marketing, establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders (Creative, Marketing, Wholesale, Distribution, Retail, CX, Digital Experience) and aligning online activity with broader campaign initiatives and corporate goals 
  • Participate in the annual marketing planning cycle by collaborating with the brand & sales teams.
  • Provide overall leadership for projects involving website functionality and technical enhancements from an online marketing and sales perspective

Teams and areas: 

  • Customer Relationship Management: maximize (revenue) growth & LTV of database, create persona and journey paths, translating digital consumer insights into actionable plans
  • SEM/PPC/CPM: maximize ROI, support strategies designed to grow top, middle, and bottom of funnel conversion, manage agencies and ensure to be on top of product adoption
  • SEO: optimize organic ranking in all relevant search engines
  • Affiliates: maximize revenue coming from affiliate networks at the most effective commission
  • Partnerships: establish, manage relationships with various external partners and maximize revenue streams coming from them
  • Digital site experience: identify AB testing opportunities and conversion rate optimization improvements, develop consumer-centric website navigation and content strategy, address brand needs and UX

Relevant experience & skills needed for this role:

  • Deep understanding and prior experience within eCommerce, digital strategy & integrated marketing 
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within digital marketing (Paid Social, SEO, SEM/PPC/CPM, CRM), where you have had overall strategic and operational responsibility 
  • 5+ years of leadership experience; collaborative, team-oriented spirit with a history of successfully developing cross-functional relationships & leading cross-functional projects
  • Familiarity with digital analytics & measurement methodologies
  • Advanced Excel skills (for reporting and analysis)
  • Crises resistant, ability to perform under pressure and key sales periods
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Fluent in English (any additional language a plus!)
  • International mindset and experience with international work
