Specialty Channel Sales Manager

Happy Socks is currently making an exciting transition in the United States and now seeking a Specialty Channel Sales Manager to help us expand our presence on the in the Specialty channel. You will be part of an entirely new setup, which combines the exciting environment of a startup, with the security of an established and thriving multinational corporation.

This is a dynamic role for someone who loves the Specialty channel! You will be responsible for managing independent reps and showrooms for all the Happy Socks brands in the Specialty channel as well as owning the sales of Women’s and Kid’s on east coast. You will oversee the revenue goals for the entire Specialty channel and be responsible for growing the existing businesses through expanding account’s product assortments as well as opening new accounts.

Customer Service is the name of the game. We’re looking for someone who has excellent follow-through and a meticulous eye for detail so that we can ensure our customers are getting the best experience when working with Happy Socks. In addition, we need you to have incredible communication skills- both spoken and written. Lastly, we’re a new division for Happy Socks and so we need all of our employees to be team players who love to collaborate.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing account base and identify growth opportunities
  • Manage assortment planning
  • Partner with independent reps and showrooms across the country to ensure sales goals are met
  • Regularly educate independent reps and showrooms on new product launches and collaborations
  • Aggressively open new accounts that make sense for the Happy Socks brand
  • Regularly manage, book appointments and attend tradeshows across the country
  • Creatively sell through aged inventory (IE margin builders, etc.)
  • Communicate specialty channel product needs at market
  • Regularly visit key accounts
  • Plan in-store events and product seminars
  • Ensure orders are entered correctly and shipping in full and on time

Requirements:

  • Experience selling to Specialty channel, and demonstrated ability to generate new business and increase volume
  • Sock/Underwear knowledge a huge plus
  • Women’s and Kids experience a huge plus
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to mentor and train junior sales staff
  • Tradeshow experience a plus
  • Experience with Nuorder preferred, as well as with Navision, or similar business software system
  • Relevant education
  • Excel proficient
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Willingness to travel frequently
