Position: Finance Assistant

Reports to: Financial Controller

Location: Soho, NYC

Position Overview: Happy Socks North America (HSNA) is seeking its first Finance Coordinator to join the team. We are instrumental to the success of the HSNA business and, acting as true partners to our colleagues, we are responsible for providing accurate, timely and reliable information which supports and shapes our strategic direction. The Finance Coordinator will provide essential support to the Staff Accountant and Financial Controller to help ensure seamless financial operations for the team and company. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail oriented, financially minded, and able to complete multiple tasks with precision.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Apply payments to correct vendor and invoice
  • Resolve vendor disputes and questions in a timely manner while maintaining relationships
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of vendor accounts to ensure accuracy
  • Assist with processing employee corporate credit cards expenses as well as employee reimbursement requests
  • Perform general bookkeeping for omnichannel entities (Wholesale, Retail, E-commerce)
  • Support team with monthly and year end close process
  • Identify improvements across the business
  • Assist in additional Finance projects as needed

  Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
  • 1-2 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • General understanding of accounting concepts
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / year end close process
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Prior experience with Navision and Palette preferred (not required)
