We are now looking for a talented Assistant Store Manager for our Happy Socks store in NYC - Williamsburg. If you’re a team player with a strong drive to succeed, with the ability to build and develop highly motivated teams this would be the right opportunity for you. You’ll report to the Store Manager.

Your main objective will be to support the Store Manager in overall management of the store, staff, merchandise and customer service. We believe you are a super star when it comes to retail, sales and analytics and that you have a passion for our products and knows how to deliver a best-in-class customer experience! 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the sales team so that they perform at their highest level to meet their individual and store objectives
  • Assume the role of Store Manager in the absence of the Store Manager in accordance with Company operating standards
  • Ensure that merchandise is properly managed, displayed, stored and maintained by team
  • Work with Store Manager to concept, plan and execute successful customer in-store events
  • Coach, motivate and inspire store staff to meet individual sales goals; create and manage staff work schedule
  • Provide a safe, clean and fun store environment for customers and staff
  • Manage and maintain the store facility (incl. back-office), inclusive of all cleaning, repair, and replacement of damaged fixtures, furniture, registers, and other related items to facility
  • Implement appropriate CRM tools and develop loyal customer
  • Ensure Visual Merchandising is consistent with Company standards, in order to maximize sales and merchandise turn 
  • Ensure proper procedures are being met in regard to cash, credit card and check processing

Experience & skills required:

  • 3+ years retail experience
  • 1+ years in an Assistant Manager/leadership position
  • Ability to motivate sales teams
  • English, any additional languages a plus
  • Positive mindset and solution-oriented
  • Share the cultural philosophy/image of Happy Socks

Practical details:

  • Expected start: Now
  • Store location: Williamsburg
  • Position will include work on some holidays, evenings and weekend
