We are now looking for a talented Store Manager for our second Happy Socks store in  Los Angeles, that will open in Silver Lake in March 2019! As our Store Manager, your focus will be operating the store as a profit bearing unit, maintaining a credible brand and communicating our brand story to our end consumers.

In addition, you will of course make sure campaigns, guidelines, events, stock levels and store operations are executed according to plan. We have set strategies and frameworks for all Happy Socks stores globally, which also applies for our stores in North America. You’ll report to the Retail Operations Manager, based in our Stockholm HQ. 

Main responsibilities & tasks:

  • Full responsibility for the store P and L, including budget work, reaching revenue and profitability targets
  • Manage the staff with everything it entails such as recruitiment, training, evaluation and creating work schedule etc. 
  • Concept, plan and execute in-store events
  • Analyze reports and identify key areas of opportunity and growth
  • Work proactively and stay up to date on the industry to keep the brand and store relevant
  • Regularly review and monitor all aspects of product storage and inventory levels, and conduct store cycle counts
  • Analyze store operations and voice input to Retail Operations team; identify problems and craft solutions

The position will include work on some holidays, evenings and weekends

Experience & skills required:

  • 3+ years retail experience
  • 1+ years in a Store Manager/leadership position
  • Sound understanding of retail store operations and concepts
  • Basic knowledge in Excel

We are looking for a positive team player who is solution-oriented and has a drive to succeed. You are a selling superstar with a passion for mentoring others and delivering a best-in-class customer experience! For this position you also need to be structured, analytical and details focused. If you have experience from Visual Merchandising it is a huge plus. It is important for us that you to share our passion for the products and the cultural philosophy of Happy Socks!
